The Enemy Within

Enemies come in all guises.

For Constance, a young graduate with a love of Hollywood movies, the enemy is men. For Max, a German schoolboy arriving in Gloucester on the Kindertransport, it’s the Nazis.

As war rages across Europe, Max clings to hope for his family in Germany, while Constance searches for a love as true as those on the silver screen. But as their worlds collide, both must face a devastating truth — that the hardest battles are not fought on the front line, and the real enemy may lie much closer to home.

reviews

“As always, we don’t want to give too much away and you can rest assured that there won’t be any spoilers in today’s review.
Receiving a book to the office is always a special treat for a group of bookworms.
Especially, when it is as well written as Christine Jordan’s The Enemy Within. Christine’s writing style is simply amazing. Captivating. She is a tremendously talented author, who is brilliant at transporting you to a different time.
In The Enemy Within, she takes the reader on a journey to the city of Gloucester.”
